Restorative Mentors
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” — 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
Restorative mentorship is where faith meets restoration. Our restorative mentors are a pillar of support for youth navigating the challenges of the criminal justice system. We equip youth with the tools, wisdom, and spiritual strength to overcome challenges and walk boldly into the future God has prepared for them by:
Teaching and modeling biblical principles in everyday life.
Providing spiritual encouragement, accountability, and prayer support.
Guiding youth through restorative practices that foster forgiveness and growth.
Offering mentorship that helps youth reenter school, family, and community life with dignity and hope.
Serving as bridges between youth, families, and faith-based resources.
Equipping young people to become leaders who can transform pain into testimony.
Virtual
Through safe and private online meetings, restorative mentors connect with youth no matter where they are. These sessions provide:
Personalized guidance and encouragement.
Spiritual check-ins and prayer.
Goal-setting and accountability rooted in biblical wisdom.
In-person
Face-to-face mentoring allows for deeper connection and trust. These sessions include:
Faith-led conversations and restorative activities.
Practical support for school, court, or community reentry.
Hands-on guidance that empowers youth to live righteously and responsibly.
“Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.” — Isaiah 58:8 (NIV)
Group sessions
Restorative mentors lead group sessions where youth can lean on one another and growtogether. These gatherings focus on:
Restorative justice practices rooted in forgiveness and reconciliation.
Shared experiences and testimonies that build community.
Strengthening bonds between peers while centering God’s Word.
Healing
Our ultimate goal is healing—spiritual, emotional, and relational. Restorative mentors support healing by:
Offering consistent prayer and pastoral care.
Guiding youth in practices of forgiveness and reconciliation.
Walking alongside families to rebuild trust and hope.
Encouraging youth to see themselves as whole, beloved children of God.
Become a Restorative Mentor
“We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is that you may be fully restored. This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority–the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.” — 2 Corinthians 13:9-10 (NIV)
